In short, we make a positive different to the lives of South Australians and the communities they live in every day.Due to growth in the team and a recent ESCOSA approved program of work, SA Water is seeking multiple seasoned procurement professionals to join them as a Category Lead - Capital Works and Services. These are rare opportunities for the SA market, where you will have oversight of a large spend across diverse and high value capital projects.Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the development and delivery of comprehensive category management plans within SA Water’s Supply Chain Capital Works and Services Team.
• Maintaining a high standard of procurement and contracts management across the Capital Works and Services category for major projects
• Anticipating and mitigating supply chain risk, securing continuity of supply across your extended supply chain
• Leading complex procurement processes relating to major projects and initiatives, directing key commercial negotiations and ensuring true partnership is achieved with your suppliers
• Commercial and supplier relationship management of long term, key delivery partners
• Providing a high level of stakeholder engagement with internal customers, and demonstrating superior relationship management and influencing skills
• Acting as a lead or “go-to” person in the team, focused on using your knowledge to upskill the business and mentor less experienced staff members

Key requirements include:

• An in depth level of capital projects procurement experience from any industries such as mining,
• utilities, construction or similar
• You will be an outcome focused procurement professional, passionate about delivering a high quality of service to the wider business and excellence in contemporary procurement and supply chain practices
• You will have strong communication skills and demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
• Tertiary qualifications in supply chain or commerce, and MCIPS qualifications or similar industry equivalent
