Overview:
As Category Manager, you'll execute the strategies aimed at optimizing category performance, reducing costs, and maximizing value. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, negotiate with suppliers, and lead strategic procurement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Lead supplier negotiations and contract management to secure favorable terms and agreements.
- Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost drivers to inform strategic decision-making.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within assigned categories.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure category performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Champion health, safety, and environmental initiatives across the business.
- Provide expert support to regional teams to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Drive strategically significant procurement projects to deliver tangible business results.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Category Management, Procurement, or related field.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
- Preferred: CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply.
