About the role
The Category Manager, Purchasing and Supply is responsible for the operation and strategic direction of the Metro North Supply Division. The Category Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure the following functions are delivered to a high standard that meets the needs of the organisation:
Procure to Pay, including the overarching management of MN facility based requisitioners to ensure the purchasing function utilises the material catalogue and inputs all appropriate data to enable accurate business analysis, and reduce financial
Operational supply chain, including the overarching management of daily supply operations, mitigation of supply disruptions (both internal and external), and inventory management throughout the
Financial and inventory system, including management of the material catalogues and establishment of system business rules and workflows for efficient operational procurement and inventory
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated leadership and proven experience in designing contemporary Supply Chain functions (including demand planning, inventory management, Purchasing and vendor invoice management) in a complex organisation where supply services are a critical business
Demonstrated ability to drive a team to establish and maintain positive and productive relationships with varying stakeholders, including clinical and non-clinical staff, internal team members and suppliers to ensure optimal supply chain
Ability to lead, plan and prioritise to effectively manage a service in alignment with the overall strategic plan of the Health Service, while being responsive to the organisations changing
High-level conceptual and analytical skills to identify and analyse issues and develop quality options and strategies to resolve complex supply chain issues and a proven ability to work in a team environment developing effective working relationships with team
Proven ability to gather, manipulate and structure data from a variety of sources in a way that supports high level analysis, performance management, benefits realisation reporting and ability to translate this information to contribute to informed decision making in an operational
