Randstad has partnered with an ASX listed company to hire multiple Category Specialist positions over the next 6 months. These roles are fixed term contracts and permanent opportunities. The beautiful office is located in the Inner-South of Sydney and offers work from home flexibility.
Responsibilities of Category Specialist:
- The Category Specialist will lead sourcing efforts within their designated category.
- Align their actions with the Category Strategy and consult stakeholders.
- Address supplier procurement needs through skilled negotiation and stakeholder engagement.
- Oversee end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFx management and analysis
- Shape category strategies to achieve procurement goals.
- Develop procurement plans tailored to individual projects.
- Oversee the entire sourcing process from initiation to contract finalisation.
- Collaboration with the Category Manager ensures seamless information transfer.
- Manage client relationships effectively.
About you:
- 3 + years experience in strategic sourcing, category management and procurement
- Demonstrated experience in administering, supporting / leading projects ideally within a matrix organisation.
- Capable of interpreting and implementing category strategies, analysing data, market trends and presenting findings and recommendations in a professional manner.
- Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills
- Evident understanding of commercial dynamics and a dedication to achieving commercially savvy results.
