Reporting to the Communications Manager, you will play a critical role in transforming the employee experience through strategic Internal Communications and driving employee engagement initiatives. You will also facilitate the redevelopment of the Intranet and manage its future success.Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and deliver the new intranet platform for Council and promote it to the organisation.
- Produce quality content for the intranet with a focus on clear, simple messaging across a range of channels and formats.
- Collate, record and report on Internal Communications activities, providing both qualitative and quantitative information to contribute to continuous improvement.
- Actively contribute to the strategic development and implementation of Council’s Internal Communications program and team culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, in business or a relevant field minimum 5 years’ experience in similar roles, with specific certifications in change management such as Prosci. Alternatively, may have lesser formal qualifications together with extensive specialist experience in change management.
- Well-developed conceptual, analytical, strategic communication, and organisational skills to support identification and solutions to organisation-wide internal communication issues and opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills particularly the ability to liaise with people at all levels of the organisation and gain their cooperation and trust.
