In this role, you will:
- Support the health and wellbeing of children through planning and preparing nutritious food
- Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies
- Use your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director
- Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic
- Work a part time roster, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 2.30pm.
Goodstart Early Learning Gunnedah is searching for a skilled and passionate Centre Cook to join our team. Situated in the heart of the Kamilaroi People's traditional lands, our centre offers a dynamic environment across four rooms catering to children from nursery to preschool.
Our curriculum, aligned with the Early Years' Learning Framework, encourages playful exploration, nurturing growth in various areas such as science, maths, and cultural diversity. We prioritize individualized programs tailored to each child's interests and strengths, ensuring they're well-prepared for their educational journey.
As our Centre Cook, you'll play a vital role in preparing nutritious meals using fresh ingredients to keep our young learners satisfied and energized. - Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting
- Current NSW Working with Children Check
