As a Centre Cook, you’ll plan nutritious meals and snacks to meet the dietary needs of every child in your centre. Your little customers will greet you with enthusiasm each day and will truly appreciate your work.   

In this role, you will:  

• Support the health and wellbeing of children through planning and preparing nutritious food 
• Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies 
• Use your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director 

• Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic

Our centre offers care for children from the age of six weeks up until five years as we celebrate, honour and welcome children, families and educators from a diverse range of nationalities. Educators at Goodstart Early Learing understand the importance of developing secure, respectful, and reciprocal relationships and we use a key educator approach in each of our rooms. Throughout nurturing and responsive relationships, educators create opportunities and moments for children to feel respected, valued and develop confidence. Our responsive and respectful learning relationships are strengthened over time as children and educators have the opportunity to learn together and share moments of respect, trust and decision making.

At Goodstart Canning Vale – Campbell Road we encourage healthy eating and our menus, based on a whole food approach to nutrition, offer a variety of meals that are sweetened by honey or maple syrup, have no added salt, and are flavoured by a wide range of herbs and spices.
