We are currently seeking a highly motivated and inspiring leader for a 12 month fixed term contract. You will provide leadership ensuring high quality education and care are provided and be responsible for managing all day to day aspects of the service and its operations. You will be an exceptional experienced people leader who is a professional with a genuine desire to build and motivate teams.
Your proven leadership skills in the Early Childhood Sector combined with your commitment to engage with children and families in a number of ways while facilitating individual learning styles will see you successful in this role. You will manage the curriculum, oversee physical facilities, recruit, monitor and manage staff.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor qualification in accordance with ACECQA Approved Early Childhood Teaching Qualifications List found at http://acecqa.gov.au/educators-and-providers1/qualifications / Diploma or above in Childcare or related field.
- Desirable to have a post graduate/tertiary qualifications in leadership.
- A willingness to be appointed as a Nominated Supervisor.
- Working with Children Check.
- ACECQA approved First Aid Qualification that includes applying first aid, emergency asthma management and anaphylaxis.
- Child Protection Qualification approved by State Regulatory Body.
Experience
- Thorough and in-depth knowledge of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (Birth-5 aged care), National Quality Standards, Education and Care Services National Regulations, Education and Care National Law, and My Place, My Time (school aged care).
- Significant experience in a management position in early childhood settings and evidence of providing inspirational and decisive leadership.
- Thorough knowledge of early childhood education and care centre administrative functions.
- Knowledge of Workplace Safety & Health.
Capabilities
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal and team development skills.
- Ability to lead the team in pedagogical matters including curriculum planning and professional development.
- Ability to develop, implement and evaluate policies and procedures.
- Computer literacy (CCMS system, QikKids or similar).
