SHARE Cooperative Society Ltd is a not-for-profit, community-based cooperative Childcare centre in Summer Hill, providing Out of School Hours (OOSH) care for children from Kindergarten to Year 6 during school terms and vacation periods.
We are searching for a Centre Manager to join and support the SHARE management committee in managing daily operations and providing superior childcare services within the local community, while contributing your passion for children’s welfare in a compassionate and impactful way!

Reporting to the SHARE Management Committee, the Centre Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of SHARE to ensure implementation and compliance with the National Quality Framework, which encompasses the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, the National Quality Standards, and the Framework for School Age Care – My Time, Our Place in conjunction with the Management Committee.
Responsibilities of the Centre Manager
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the service in line with the NQF
- Monitor and contribute to the development of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
- Manage and lead a strong and passionate team of Educators
- Provide educators with guidance, written instruction, and resources to develop, plan and implement quality programs for children that meets their physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs (complying within the Framework for School Age Care - My Time Our Place)
- Ensure programs are monitored, evaluated and documented on a regular basis
- Lead the Human Resources function from recruitment, performance management and rewards and training
- Manage promotional opportunities for the service
- Oversee the assessment and rating visit by the Regulatory Authority
- Ensure compliance with the service policies and procedures. Develop and evaluate policies and procedures in collaboration with Management
- Manage enrolments in accordance with DEEWR Priority of Access Guidelines
- Contribute to the development of the annual budget and manage expenditure in line with the agreed budget
- Diploma in Outside School Hours Care or working towards this. (highly desirable)
- Experience supervising and managing an education and care service. (highly desirable)
- Knowledge of Qikkids, OWNA, MYOB and Microsoft Office (highly desirable)
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid certificate including CPR.
- Current anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management training
- Approved Child Protection Training
