Rutherford Playtime Preschool is a long day care centre with 55 places offering an exciting position within our centre.
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate educator to work Monday - Friday with flexible hours.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Create a stimulating, positive and appropriate environment to foster and support the development.
- Communicate positively and openly with children and their families on an ongoing basis.
- Conduct observation and evaluation of children's development.
- Provide physical care, assisting children in daily routines and mealtimes.
- Respond to the emotional needs of the children.
- Maintain up to date records for each child within the group.
- Floater educator to cover breaks, study and programming.
Essential requirements
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and care. Or Diploma
- Potential to further your studies in Diploma of education and care if interested.
- Great personality with a professional manner and appearance
- Strong understanding and knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and the ability to implement it effectively.
- Skill in implementing National Quality Standards.
- Experience in working cooperatively in a team environment
- Passion to contribute to the development of our children and hunger to continue to develop your skills.
- Excellent group management skills
- Current first aid certificate, CPR, Asthma and anaphylaxis certificate.
