About the opportunity
Headspace Camperdown in The Brain and Mind Centre at the University of Sydney is a world-leading research facility dedicated to understanding and improving brain and mental health. Through cutting-edge research and innovative approaches, the centre aims to transform mental health care and policy, benefiting individuals and communities.
Join our multidisciplinary team as a Clinical Facilitator and Clinician, providing crucial support to the Youth Mental Health and Technology team. Supporting clinical trials, coordinating care, and collaborating with clinicians, academics, and service providers to advance mental health research and services.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
support working clinicians and clinical services to meet research objectives
understand and test the impacts of interventions in the mental health context
provide clinical support during all stages of research protocols
present clinical research outcomes to various audiences and young people
collect and analyse research data, prepare statistical reports
assist with writing ethics applications and preparing publication documentation
support digital technology implementation and youth models of care.
Provide assessment and treatment to young people aged 12-25 years in the headspace model.

masters qualifications in psychology, social work, counselling, or mental health nursing and/or relevant experience
registration with the governing association that aligns with your tertiary qualifications
skills in data analysis, using statistical tools, and reporting on research findings
experience in a clinical and research environment or delivering/coordinating youth mental health care
excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
ability to work independently and as part of a team, exercising sound judgement
experience in coordinating and facilitating workshops across clinical and academic disciplines.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the reasons for the position.
