Western Sydney University Early Learning has services situated on the grounds of Western Sydney University Campus, located in Blacktown, Bankstown, Campbelltown, Parramatta, Penrith and the Hawkesbury Areas.
We currently have the following positions available at our Penrith Service:
- Certificate III trainee (Full-time – 38 hours per week)
- Certificate III Educator (Part-time - 2 days per week)
- Diploma Educator (Full-time – 38 hours per week)
These positions will be available for an immediate start for the successful applicants.

Successful applicants will be offered an 18-month contract to complete all assigned TAFE requirements to receive their Certificate III in Education and Care Service.

Selection Criteria – Certificate III Trainee
Essential:
- Have or be willing to obtain a Working with the Children Check and National Police check
- Meet the eligibility to undertake a traineeship in NSW
- Be motivated and enthusiastic and reliable.
- Be able to complete assigned TAFE tasks independently.
- Be well presented and well spoken.
- Have a passion to work with and educate young children
Selection Criteria – Certificate III Educator (part-time 2 days per week)
Essential
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Working with Children Check clearance and number for verification.
- Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training
- DEC approved child protection training certificate
- Sound Knowledge and Working Practise of National Quality Frameworks, Education and Care National Regulation and Law
- Knowledge of overall health and Safety regarding Children’s Services
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written
Desirable
- Involvement in the preparation and assessment under the National Quality Standard.
- Involvement in contribute to the planning, implementation, evaluation and reflection of programs which reflect the emerging skills and interactions of children
Selection Criteria – Diploma Educator (Full-time – 38 hours per week)
- Demonstrate a keen interest in developing a career in Early Childhood education and care
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education
- Would consider a Certificate III working towards for the right applicant
- Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training (or willing to obtain).
- Working with children check clearance and number for verification
- Sound knowledge and working practice of National Quality Frameworks, Education and Care National Regulation and Law
- Knowledge of overall Health and Safety regarding children's services
- Experience with being a responsible person
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written
- Be reliable, self-motivated and have a strong work ethic
- Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or appropriate visa
