Seeking a passionate, innovative and collaborative Change Manager for a project based role. Seeking a passionate, innovative and collaborative Change Manager for a project based role. The position will work closely with the Senior Project Manager and other project stakeholders in supporting the business transformation with the aim of improving the overall staff and student experience through the implementation.
The Change Manager will develop, execute and coordinate a range of key activities associated with change management, communication, information management, and events planning and support.
The position is required to liaise with a wide range of staff, regarding all aspects of the admission's life cycle and will need to adopt an inclusive, consultative, and user-centered approach to engage a wide range of project stakeholders including academic staff, process owners, technical specialists, subject matter experts, academic staff, students, service managers, vendors, and governance groups.
To do this, the successful applicant must understand the needs and requirements of the many individuals and groups of stakeholders, build on existing project relationships, and leverage and influence these relationships to achieve project goals and benefits.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, execute, and iteratively update the Project Change Management Plan and Project Communications Plan in line with project objectives
- Develop and disseminate all communications materials related to project execution and change, ensuring complex information is translated to be easily digestible and useful
- Prepare and present project communications across a range of internal channels, including senior management briefings, staff presentations, and by maintaining project SharePoint sites
- Use stakeholder analysis and other tools to develop and implement appropriate communications and change strategies to facilitate understanding, acceptance, and use of the new admission's solution introduced by the project
- Understand key project deliverables, outcomes and impacts upon stakeholders, ensuring communications and change timelines and targets are met
- Establish and lead working groups, as required, to achieve stakeholder input and engagement and ensure they are ready, willing and able to accept the changes introduced by the new system.
- Work with business owners to ensure process and policy changes progressed in parallel to the project are communicated and accepted by end-users as appropriate.
- Prepare business areas for transition to the new system so that they will be able to support impacted staff, and gain ownership and support for the changes.
- Identify and address change management issues and risks in a timely and positive manner.
- Monitor, promote, and document the realisation of benefits of the project.
- Work with the project team to develop appropriate training materials and assist with the training delivery logistics as required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including experience in preparing and delivering a range of documents and presentations for a variety of stakeholders and audiences.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively collaborate, consult, influence, negotiate and establish productive partnerships with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated ability to work iteratively within tight timelines, adapt quickly to change, and to work both autonomously and as part of a collaborative, client- focused team.
- Education, training, and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of a relevant postgraduate qualification or progress towards postgraduate qualifications together with extensive relevant experience in communications and change management.
- Digital Transformation Implementation experience in an academic/research/tertiary environment
