Full time, ongoing role based in Hobart or Launceston
About the opportunity
The Student Services and Operation team are looking for a new Change Specialist to join their team. If you’re passionate about leading change, making a positive impact, and have a knack for holistic decision making, then the team would love to hear from you.
As our new Change Specialist, you will partner with people leaders and project teams to develop and implement fit for purpose change processes. You will prioritise the student and employee experience and deliver outcomes and benefits for the University across a range of high impact projects and initiatives.
As a Change Specialist, you will develop impact analyses, risk assessments, engagement plans, training, coaching, and guidance to all stakeholders involved in the change process. You will also monitor and report on the progress and outcomes of the change initiatives and contribute to post implementation reviews to ensure continuous improvement and learning. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative team that values diversity and innovation.
This role is based in Hobart or Launceston and relocation assistance will be considered for the right person.
What you’ll do:
Proactively partner with project teams and subject matter experts to develop comprehensive change approaches, including impact analyses, risk assessments and engagement plans.
Work with communications teams to develop communication and engagement plans that are genuine and inclusive.
Partner with people leaders and subject matter experts to ensure appropriate training, support and capability building plans are in place.
Provide coaching and guidance to all stakeholders to build change management capability, knowledge, and awareness.
Provide project status reporting and updates to ensure effective delivery and a positive student and staff experience.
Contribute to post implementation reviews to evaluate change outcomes and benefits.
What we’re looking for:
Experience in contemporary change management models, methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience in delivering operational improvement change projects and initiatives in complex organisations to achieve impactful organisational outcomes and sustainable change.
Strong engagement, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated ability to both coach and facilitate individuals and groups through change processes.
Confident competence with the use and analysis of data and analytics to inform decision making and strategy formulation.
Project Management skills, and ability to develop change management project plans.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 8 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $143,448 comprising base salary within the range of $107,829 to $122,605 plus 17% superannuation.
