About the role
Reporting to the Group Manager, Organisational Development and Change the Organisational Design and Change Specialist is accountable for supporting the delivery of strategic outcomes that enhance workforce performance and capability and organisational culture.
The Organisational Design and Change Specialist is responsible for conducting structural reviews, designing organisational structures and positions descriptions and coordinating change management programs and projects to support structural change and cultural transformation.
The successful applicant will be required to work with internal stakeholders at each of the Southern Ports locations so flexibility to travel is required. The successful applicant can be located at any of the 3 regional ports or in our West Perth office. The likelihood of travel will be once a month to all 3 sites.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provides subject matter expertise in Organisational and Job Design to ensure that that Southern Ports’ organisational structure is fit for purpose.
  • Conducts structural review projects, designs organisational structures and prepares position descriptions to meet organisational requirements.
  • Coordinates change management programs, projects and initiatives to support structural change and cultural transformation.
  • Independently manages work projects applying contemporary project management principles.
  • Provides advice and support to the Executive and senior leaders across Southern Ports in relation to Organisational and Job Design and Change Management.
  • Contributes collaboratively as a member of the Organisational Development and Change team and partners with other People and Sustainability teams.
Experience and Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Development or another relevant field
  • Demonstrated experience in Organisational Design and Change management in to medium to large size organisation
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Knowledge of contemporary Organisational Design and Change management principles and practices
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively as the member of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to engage and influence clients and stakeholders at all levels
  • Well-developed conceptual and analytical skills and proven ability to apply these skills when coordinating change management activities
  • Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities

Requirements
To be eligible for this 2-year fixed term full-time role, applicants must provide proof of Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
The successful applicant must have a current WA driver’s licence, be able to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Access Card and undergo a pre-employment medical assessment including drug and alcohol testing.
