Our progressive Business Information Technology Solutions department has an exciting opportunity for an interactive Change Specialist to facilitate the successful implementation of technological and business process changes within Council.
Working on a multi-stream enterprise system project, you will focus on driving change initiatives to improve customer service and operational efficiency. This role will provide you the opportunity to collaborate across Council with key stakeholders such as, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts, and Technical Systems staff to ensure the smooth coordination and delivery of change management activities across the whole organisation.
Your other key focus areas are;
- Coordinate and lead change management activities, working closely with Project Managers to ensure effective business communication and stakeholder engagement, providing regular and accurate updates
- Develop and deliver effective change plans and reporting including but not limited to training, communication, and support plans for multiple projects across Council
- Understand the current ‘As Is’ processes v’s future ‘To Be’ processes and assess the changes and impacts to individual teams
- Identify the impacts resulting from organisational wide changes to people, process, systems, and culture

Our ideal candidate is self-motivated and a strong force for change. You have stakeholder engagement skills, enjoy developing and maintaining relationships and understanding people’s skill sets and experience. You have experience in interpreting problems and understanding pain points in processes and how this information assists to build a new streamlined process. You will bring people along the journey with you by coaching, guiding, and ensuring the new process becomes engrained and the project is successfully implemented.
- Hold degree level qualifications in Information Technology, Change Management, Project Management, or related field and / or relevant experience driving change in a complex organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in managing change for technology-based change
- Strong ability to work independently, show initiative and facilitate customer-focused outcomes
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks within a project environment with tight deadlines
- Demonstrated strong experience in the application of analytical skills in a project environment
