AddressCSA Mine is looking for an experienced Charge Up Operator to join the team. You will work in a team that is focused on safety, while driving to meet the plan. You will work in one of the world’s most iconic mining districts, which has the second highest grade copper mine in the country.
Job DescriptionAbout the role
- Effectively preparing and charging drill holes to deliver firing on target
- Charging production stopes and development headings
- Reading and understanding production drill, jumbo and charge-up plans
- Hanging and removal of vent bag, air and water services
- Having a strong commitment and attitude toward Safety, Health and Environment
The successful applicant will have:
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence (minimum P2 or equivalent)
- Working at Heights and Elevating Work Platform (desired)
- UHL/ BEUL or willingness and ability to obtain prior to commencement (essential)
- Hold previous underground mining experience (production stope and development heading, as well as general mining operations)
- Previous experience operating an MCU or similar blast product delivery vehicle (desired)
- Experience with electronic blasting systems (advantageous)
Conditions
This position is offered on a residential or drive in drive out (DIDO) basis on 7/7 roster. If residential is the preferred option, relocation costs and a housing subsidy will be available to assist in relocating to Cobar. Candidates interested in the DIDO option will be provided with single person commute accommodation and meals at the mine camp. CSA also provides Pool & Gym Reimbursements to our employees and their dependants.
