Form of workWesthaven Dairy is a privately owned cheese and Yoghurt manufacturer providing a diverse range of quality hand made cheeses for the retail and food service industry in Tasmania and Australia wide.
We are currently seeking people with a passion for food who have great work ethic, genuine interest in providing quality products to our customers and willingness to learn.
To be considered for this position you must have previously worked in a fresh food factory environment. The role is labour intense and is a hands on job. This is initially a casual position approximately 30-38 hours per week,leading to a full time position. You will work on a Yoghurt filling line.
The following is involved but not limited to:
- Take ownership of the production process of allocated products daily.
- Accurate packing of the products.
- Operation of related equipment
- Washing & general cleaning.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Be able to work in a fast paced & timed production environment
To be successful for this role, the candidate will ideally be able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience in fresh food factory environment.
- Ability to adhere to HACCP, GMP, food safety and quality principles.
- Ability to follow instructions in a production/process environment.
- Ability to perform physical duties with repetition.
- Flexible days of work and start times.
- Ability to work autonomously and efficiently.
- Is dependable, a team player with good communication.
- High attention to detail.
- Good attitude and work ethic.
- Immediate start
