SANS SOUCI AGED CARE is a privately operated residential facility situated in Sans Souci.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef to head up the Catering and Hospitality Service of this facility.
The successful applicant will be well versed :
- in Food Safety Standards,
- dealing with the Food Safety Audits and authority
- designing dietician approved menus that are well presented
- Ensuring recipes meet all dietary requirements of the older person.
- IDDSI Standards and modified food textures.
Responsibilities will be :
- Overseeing the kitchen, meal preparations and cooking.
- Providing leadership to the hospitality staff
- Participating in induction, ongoing training and performance of the team
- Ordering all stock, equipment and supplies within budgetary and delegated limits
- Adhering to all infection control and regulatory compliance for safe food handling
Reporting directly to the Director of Nursing, the Chef will be part of the Executive Management Team and as such will be required to participate in meetings, food forums, customer feedback and to initiate quality improvement projects to further enhance the service and address any shortfall.
