Summary of Duties & Responsibilities
· Setting up service station as per restaurant standard.
· Preparation, cook and seasoning food for day to day operational management.
· Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation, collaborative discussion of any food preparation management and/or issues with Head Chef, Managers, Dietitians, kitchen and waiting staff, with forward solution focus.
· Ordering, receiving food items and storing them at right temperature and place
· Effective participation in controlling desired food cost and minimising food wastage
· Following Food Safety & OH&S policies
· Maintaining Temperature Log Book & Cleaning/maintenance schedule
· Must be organised and able to work both independently and as a supportive team member
Skills and experience
· Minimum 2-3-year experience as chef
· Commercial Cookery degree would be an advantage, however, not mandatory.
· Must be reliable, punctual and own reliable transport desirable.
