This will be a great opportunity to work within a strong team in a fast-paced diverse culinary operation.Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be working alongside a team of chefs & cooks to deliver the kitchen’s operations on all menus across our venues including Lachlan’s Restaurant, Brew Café, and Events & Catering.ABOUT YOUYou are a highly motivated hands-on individual who is able to work effectively with our food and beverage team to assist in achieving high-standards in food preparation and maintain customer satisfaction levels, and are able to demonstrate the following key criteria:Prepare and plate food aligned to set menu and allergy requirements for banquets, a la carte service and/ or cocktail events across MGSM venuesProven track record of high performance in a fast-paced environmentMaintain high standards and a thorough understanding of HACCP food Safety regulations with Food Hygiene QualificationsDemonstrated experience working in a high-volume kitchen, restaurant or café, or a catering backgroundSound knowledge of WH&S requirements and impeccable presentation and hygiene standardsStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse team environmentAvailability to work over a seven-day rosterLegally entitled to work in AustraliaABOUT USMGSM Hotel and Conference Centre, is an award-winning venue situated on the picturesque grounds of Macquarie University at North Ryde.
