Salary Henrietta is a busy restaurant found in the heart of Surry Hills, combining family, flavour, and friendship. We serve a variety lunch and dinner meals with creative specials, and amazing service. We are continuously attempting to enhance our menu by allowing cooks to experiment in the kitchen and taking into consideration changes mentioned by our customers.
The Role
We are looking for a full-time chef to join our team and assist us in developing new combinations and flavours to include in our menu. You must have the ability to work well under pressure and time constraints, the knowledge of different varieties of foods and ingredients, communication skills, and the ability to accept criticism.
We serve more than simple charcoal chicken and mezza and are passionate about providing the best experience to our customers. The workday will I include designing and prepping dishes and specials, delegating tasks to our kitchen staff, monitor food stock and place orders, and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
We are fully functioning, very clean and organised kitchen. We have a strong local following, and bustling holiday seasons and would love to add a chef to out team that will elevate our menu to the next level.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Relevant qualifications required however, 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for the qualifications.
- Have at least 3 years of experience as a chef;
- Planning our menu and creating new dishes;
- Be in charge of pre planning requirements of food and ordering required supply;
- Ensure quality dishes are prepared and presented;
- Manage kitchen including requirements for more staff and be responsible to train them;
- Have experience in upholding the proper healthy and safety requirements in the kitchen;
- Have experience in studying the current situation in the industry to ensure the business is working in accordance with the demands of the market.
