We are looking for a qualified and experienced chef to work on a full-time basis.
Elephant Café located in Newport offers a wide variety of modern Australian food and you will be expected to hit the ground running using your experience and knowledge to prepare the variety of dishes. We pride ourselves on the quality and taste of our food we offer.
You will be responsible in all aspects of cooking by ensuring the highest quality of ingredients are used to produce the best tasting dishes, and that presentation of food is highly appetising.
You will be able to work independently and will be rewarded with friendly and supportive team & work environment.
- No split or double shifts as our cafe opens for breakfast & lunch only
- 5 day week flexible roster, rotation weekend work required.
- attractive remuneration package from $60,000- $70,000 per annum plus superannuation dependent on experience
Essential Criteria:
- A positive attitude with strong work ethic and communication skill Experience in Modern Australian Breakfast & Lunch cooking
- Able to work individually and in a team environment
- Organisation skills
Responsibilities:
- Contributing menu ideas as well as weekly specials. Ensuring quality and freshness of food
- Ordering food and keeping to budget
- Preparation and cooking of all dishes on the menu
- Following Food safety program & recording temperature logs
- Must be able to adjust menu items to comply with allergen requirements and customer requests
- Making sure kitchen & personal hygiene is of the highest standard
