Chef/ Cook Required (Specialised In Indian Cuisine)

Chingaari Indian Restaurant is looking for a full time Chef/cook Specialised in Indian cuisine at Buderim, QLD. Chingaari Indian Restaurant is a well-established business Specialised in Indian cuisine.

Chef/Cook - $70,000.00 Plus Superannuation

• As our Chef/cook, you will be responsible for:
• Knowledge of all recipes, standards, portion sizes and presentation styles of dishes produced within the kitchen
• Discuss issues with the manager and other staff and monitor the preparation and presentation of the dishes,
• Managing food rotation, hygiene and occupational health and safety
• Have knowledge of Menu planning
• Taking care of food wastage and labor costs,
• Work with the management and set daily and weekly production levels for the kitchen,
• Maintain stock levels according to the requirements of the business and understand how this can have an effect on food costs,
• Check the freshness and quality of ingredients
• Be responsible for the supervision and training of any junior kitchen staff,
• Prepare curries, sauces and desserts as and when required
• Demonstrate strong organisational skills,
• Ensure food prepared in the kitchen is of the highest possible standards.

About You

• Minimum 2 years of experience post Cert completion
• Certification in Commercial Cookery (Cert III or IV)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
• Excellent time management skills to meet flight schedules
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
