Chingaari Indian Restaurant is looking for a full time Chef/cook Specialised in Indian cuisine at Buderim, QLD. Chingaari Indian Restaurant is a well-established business Specialised in Indian cuisine.
Chef/Cook - $70,000.00 Plus Superannuation
- As our Chef/cook, you will be responsible for:
- Knowledge of all recipes, standards, portion sizes and presentation styles of dishes produced within the kitchen
- Discuss issues with the manager and other staff and monitor the preparation and presentation of the dishes,
- Managing food rotation, hygiene and occupational health and safety
- Have knowledge of Menu planning
- Taking care of food wastage and labor costs,
- Work with the management and set daily and weekly production levels for the kitchen,
- Maintain stock levels according to the requirements of the business and understand how this can have an effect on food costs,
- Check the freshness and quality of ingredients
- Be responsible for the supervision and training of any junior kitchen staff,
- Prepare curries, sauces and desserts as and when required
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills,
- Ensure food prepared in the kitchen is of the highest possible standards.
About You
- Minimum 2 years of experience post Cert completion
- Certification in Commercial Cookery (Cert III or IV)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent time management skills to meet flight schedules
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Salary: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
