Form of workWe are seeking an experienced Chef Manager for an Aged Care facility in the Newcastle area.
The Role:
Wednesday - Sunday
8:30am - 5pm
$70,000 - $80,000 + super
60 Bed facility
You will work with your team to ensure residents’ dietary needs are met with varied and nutritious food.
You will be responsible for:
- Dual responsibilities in food preparation / presentation and site management
- Sound knowledge of IDDSI
- Experience in compliance with food safety regulations/ Experience with budgeting
- 70% Washing up own dishes as Catering staff will be attending service & cleaning of the Servery's
- Adherence to food hygiene & safety practices/ Dishwashing/ Customer service
- Demonstrable team management, development & leadership
- Assisting the broader team as required
- Australian Citizen or resident with full work rights
- Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- Experience as an Chef Manager in Aged Care essential
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Experience with managing labour, food & operational costs
- Previous experience in operating kitchens and/or site management
- Strong communication skills
- Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
