About the role
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, trade qualified CATERING / CHEF MANAGER to lead our kitchen team at our client’s Aged Care facility located in Mount Eliza, VIC.
This is the perfect opportunity for an industry professional and ‘self-starter’ to join our group in a leadership role at a brand-new Aged Care facility.
Hours of employment: 40 hours per week.
- Monday to Friday shifts only.
*The successful applicant must have received at least 2 doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine, and provide a current Federal Police Check or NDIS Screening Certificate, or be willing to apply for one*
Key attributes and responsibilities
- Previous Aged Care catering management experience is highly desirable.
- Commercial cookery qualifications necessary.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with proven budget and cost management experience.
- High level of QA, WH&S, HACCP and Food Safety knowledge.
- Previous experience in the design and implementation of nutritionally adequate and appropriate menus specific to Aged Care
- An understanding of the Food Safety Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Empathy towards residents, staff and clients.
- Produce high quality, nutritious and well-presented meals in line with Aged Care food service guidelines.
- Be responsible for rostering and day to day supervision/management of team members.
- Menu design and implementation and computer literacy
- Excellent client and resident liaison skills.
- Have reliable transport.
