We are looking for qualified chefs at Pippi's at the Point, Speers Point. The positions offer excellent working conditions with motivated management. Both full time and casual position available.
The Role
A great opportunity for a qualified chef looking for a new challenge. We have a supportive team and fast paced kitchen. The successful candidates will be working with their Executive Chef and will have the ability to offer input into the operation, assist designing menus and creating daily specials.
The main tasks will include:
- Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Planning menus, estimating labour costs, stock taking and ordering food supplies.
- Liaising with Executive Chef, Managers and FOH staff to ensure food preparation & meal services run smoothly.
- Oversee meals as they are prepared to ensure appropriate quality standards.
- Supervising & training other kitchen staff.
Working 5 days per week, the successful candidates will assist with preparing the kitchen for service and cooking a diverse range of meals during service.
The kitchen is open 7 days per week for lunch and dinner. The focus is on a diverse pub menu specialising in seafood.
Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management preferred. Experience in fast paced kitchens a plus.
Salary: $70,000 - $95,000 per year
