Chemical Plant Operator

At DGL, we specialise in toll chemical manufacturing for our unique client base which operates in many industries such as food, agriculture, water treatment, automotive AdBlue, as well as manufacturing of our own branded products.

As a result of the fast-paced growth of DGL Manufacturing, we have an exciting opportunity in our Bohle plant for an energetic, detail-oriented person to join us in the role of Chemical Plant Operator, working within a team responsible for operation of our AdBlue, Toll Blending and Warehousing.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the efficient and effective use of resources provided. You will be self-motivated and willing to get your hands dirty. You will have high level attention to detail, strive to ensure that Safety requirements, customer service, workplace cleanliness and operational targets are always achieved. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:

To be considered for this role you must have:

• A conscientious attitude towards Safety in the workplace
• Preferred previous experience in a blending/production role
• Strong numerical, written, and verbal communication skills
• Be punctual, reliable, with a can-do attitude
• Ability to work in a small team, or autonomously while adhering to company procedures
• Valid Forklift License
• Availability to travel when needed to cover other sites for periods of time

Duties include but are not limited to

• Assist with mixing and production of AdBlue & toll blending
• Warehouse and forklift work
• Role may not be limited to above tasks and may evolve to suit business and individual abilities to include, having the ability to work with plant and equipment, through to the management and ongoing maintenance of customer equipment.
