The Organisation
This charity is a small but impactful organisation dedicated to empowering and uplifting women in Sydney. Their mission is to provide comprehensive support, resources, and opportunities to women from all walks of life, enabling them to thrive and reach their full potential. They believe in fostering a community where every woman feels valued, respected, and empowered to create positive change in their lives and the world around them.
Position Overview:
The CEO will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the organisation, fostering strong partnerships, and ensuring the effective delivery of the programs and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to advance the mission and goals of the organization.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including donors, partners, government agencies, and the broader community.
Oversee the development and implementation of programs and initiatives that address the needs of women in Sydney, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Lead and inspire a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Drive fundraising efforts to secure financial resources needed to sustain and expand their programs and services.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as adherence to best practices in nonprofit management.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in senior leadership roles, preferably within the nonprofit sector or related fields.
Strong passion for and commitment to advancing the rights and well-being of women.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into action and drive organizational growth and impact.
Demonstrated success in fundraising, resource mobilization, and financial management.
Knowledge of issues affecting women in Sydney and a commitment to social justice and equity.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
