Farming Communities Australia is a newly formed organisation with the objective of identifying key issues impacting Australian farming communities and the Australian agricultural resource sector. The organisation will act as an independent representative body that will promote, protect and advance the development of the Australian agricultural sector and farming communities.
The CEO will be responsible for developing business plans, budgets and strategies for consideration by the board. In addition, they will use their established networks within the Australian agriculture and food industries to attract and retain new sponsors and drive key initiatives across industry, government and regulatory environments. The CEO will also be a spokesperson via the media promoting the best interests of farmers and associated communities, as well as engaging with government at all levels.
You will have a significant network across the agriculture sector, strong commercial acumen and a deep connection with the land. Additionally, you will have an awareness of the political, governmental, business and agriculture industry components on a local, national and international level. Of significance will be your ability to engage authentically and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers, corporations, peak bodies, media and the board. This is an opportunity for an experienced individual to make a material impact on the Australian agriculture sector.
