As the new CEO of Burdekin, you will inspire and manage a professional team dedicated to high performance and excellent service. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the Council’s vision and strategic plans and ensure sound financial practices for the long-term benefit of the community.
Fostering strong communication and relationships between Councillors, the organisation, and the community is essential.
To be successful in this role, you should firstly be an inspiring and passionate executive leader with a focus on creating and maintaining a positive work culture that delivers great outcomes for its community. We would also expect that you have good knowledge of local government along with strong skills in strategic, economic and financial sustainability that can be applied to a complex multifaceted organisation focused on the public and community’s well being.
A degree or extensive executive level experience in public sector, business, economics, engineering or a similar relevant field is required. Postgraduate qualifications in management or business are desirable.
