The Role
As the CEO, you will be the heart and soul of NORWACS, steering their strategic vision and nurturing growth. You will lead with empathy and integrity, ensuring their services remain impactful and aligned with their mission. Reporting directly to the NORWACS Board, you will be responsible for the overall management and operational success of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the development and implementation of the strategic plan, including operational, financial, and risk management frameworks.
- Oversee all aspects of NORWACS operations, ensuring high standards of service delivery, compliance with regulatory requirements, and budget adherence.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive environment, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities for the dedicated staff.
- Enhance NORWACS’ influence through strategic partnerships, and act as a passionate advocate for women's health and wellbeing.
- Uphold and model NORWACS’ values, ensuring ethical practices across all organisational activities.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably within a not-for-profit or community service setting.
- Strong understanding of strategic planning, financial management, and compliance in a charitable context.
- Commitment to feminist principles and a deep understanding of the issues affecting women and children.
- Excellent communication skills with a track record of effective advocacy and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a positive and inclusive organisational culture.
