Since their inception over 35 years ago they have supported projects in over 50 counties, helping millions of vulnerable people with emergency relief, clean water, healthcare, and education.
This reputable charity is looking to recruit a dynamic and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to take them into their next phase of growth and impact. The new CEO will need to embody the vision, mission, and values of this Islamic charity as well as provide strategic leadership, ensure operational excellence, drive revenue growth (donations) and expand their global reach.
Role: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Type: Permanent
Salary: $250,000 - $300,000 + Super
Location: South Western Sydney
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive innovative fundraising strategies to increase revenue
- Cultivate relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders to enhance financial support
- Oversee the management of financial resources
- Implement robust risk management and compliance frameworks
- Represent the organisation at national and international forums, advocating for humanitarian causes
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality and impactful programs
- Evaluate program outcomes to ensure continuous improvement
- Increase political visibility as a humanitarian authority
Key Requirements:
- Senior leadership/management experience
- Ideally experience working within a non-profit or charity organisation
- Strong understanding of Islamic values and humanitarian principles
- Demonstrated success with fundraising and revenue growth (fund raising strategies)
- Experience in strategic planning, operational management, and organisation development
- Ability to inspire and lead a diverse team
- Strong financial acumen (full P&L responsibility)
- Resilient and adaptable – ability to navigate complex challenges
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required
