Boss Energy (ASX: BOE) is a publicly listed company destined to become Australia’s next uranium producer. Boss Energy owns the Honeymoon uranium restart project in South Australia, which has a near-term clear path to production. The Honeymoon project is fully licensed for exports of up to 3.3mlb and is run by a strong management team which has leveraged off industry experts.
About the Position
We are seeking a motivated in-house Legal professional with strong generalist corporate legal experience for a full-time position at our Perth Office, situated in the inner suburbs. This is a hands-on role supporting the CEO and leaders with corporate legal advice whilst providing high-level and legal support to the HR Manager. Reporting directly to the CEO of Boss Energy you will have the opportunity to assist develop and streamline our Legal and HR activities and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- To develop, lead and support the growth of the company’s Legal and Human Resources functions in collaboration with the leadership team.
- Working closely with the leadership team to develop Legal and Human Resource strategies which contribute to strategic business decisions, in providing legal guidance and counsel to minimise risks for the company.
- Develop and guide the implementation of practices to ensure the company’s corporate compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards as required of an ASX listed company.
- In consultation with legal counsel, navigate complex Legal and regulatory landscapes.
- Work across various areas such as finance, strategic planning, business operations, and project management.
- Draft and vet contracts and legal documents and agreements.
- Support the HR Manager to develop and implement initiatives to support human resource strategies and culture development.
- Report to the Board on company Human Resources and Legal matters.
About You
You will have the following skills, experience, and qualifications:
- A minimum of 15 years of comprehensive experience in both corporate Legal and Human Resources fields, with at least 8 years at a senior managerial level.
- Qualifications in Law, Human Resources (HR), or a related discipline.
- Exposure to plant operations, commercial, finance, and mining projects environments is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication and networking abilities.
