East Grampians Health Service is based in Ararat and Willaura (Regional Victoria) and takes its name from the magnificent mountain range that provides a backdrop to both townships. The medical Imaging department is located at the main site in Ararat. It supports EGHS clinical service by offering services in CT, Ultrasound, OPG and General Radiology to both acute patients and the community. In practice, you will lead our team of Radiographers and Sonographers supporting our on-call and weekend work, whilst having support from our excellent administration staff.

- The Medical Imaging team provides services from Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm and Saturday and Sunday clinics with emergency on-call 24/7.
- Lead a skilled and professional team in a vital service within the organisation
- Support our Learning Culture by providing skills development and career opportunities to students and less experienced practitioners
- The service uses Comrad and InTeleviewer software.
- Produce high quality diagnostic images in accordance with the ALARA principles
- Demonstrate extensive or special knowledge, experience and competence in the required Radiology and Sonography specialist modalities
- Participate in the EGHS multidisciplinary Leadership Team in our well-functioning organisation
- Be a licensed Medical Diagnostic Radiographer and Sonographer with ASAR registration authorised to operate medical irradiating apparatus pursuant to the Health (Radiation Safety) Regulation Act 2005 and have a current Use Licence
- Be entitled to admission or admitted as a member of the Australian Institute of Radiography as a Medical Diagnostic Radiographer
- Be able to operate imaging equipment, including general, screening room, CT, OPG and ultrasound including vascular and obstetric examinations Capacity to teach undergraduate and postgraduate education
- Capacity to teach undergraduate and postgraduate education
- Demonstrated leadership and management qualities
Appointment is subject to Immunisation clearance, current and satisfactory Employment Checks (Police and Working With Children Checks).
