Chief Technology Officer: Part-time Location: Perth (WA) preferred, but will consider candidates from other Australian metropolitan locations. Our platform facilitates seamless connections between event organizers and mobile vendors, streamlining the process of securing and managing reliable vendors. Through automation and analytics, Vendaly eliminates manual overhead, providing transparency for both parties and local councils. We are committed to simplifying event planning and enhancing the experience for organizers, vendors, and attendees alike. Our Mission To eliminate manual overhead in the event vendor booking process, and to increase profits and job satisfaction for mobile vendors. Our goal(s): to help 10,000 events seamlessly secure and manage reliable vendors; to increase profits and job satisfaction of 2000 mobile vendors; and to reduce manual administration and increase compliance for 100 local councils in Australia, by 2030. Job Description: We are seeking a talented Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our team on a part-time basis. As a CTO at Vendaly, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technological vision, guiding the development of our platform, and leading our technical team through the initial build phase. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic startup environment and contribute to the growth and success of a groundbreaking platform. Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of Vendaly's technical strategy in alignment with our business goals and objectives. Design and recommend Technology Stack options in our initial build Oversee the design, development, and deployment of our web platform, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and deliver high-quality solutions. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, leveraging insights to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge. Working together with the CEO to bring the vision to life Future responsibilities will involve building a highly functional in-house technical team. Requirements: Proven experience as a CTO, Technical Lead, or similar role, preferably in a startup environment. Strong technical background with expertise in web development, software architecture, and cloud computing. Hands-on experience with modern technologies and frameworks such as JavaScript, Node.js, React, and AWS. Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of building and managing high-performing engineering teams. Ability to work autonomously and in a team. Preferred: As you will be an integral part to the leadership group, we prefer a candidate who is wanting to join a start-up long term Experience of the mobile food & beverage industry and/or events industry is highly desirable Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and a drive to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
