Client Overview: Our client is a respected organisation in Sydney, specialising in providing comprehensive support and assistance to families in need. They provide a range of family and community based supports aimed and improving outcomes.

Position Overview: 
The Child and Family Specialist collaborates with children and families to ensure children flourish in their home environment and achieve developmental milestones. They offer coaching to families regarding particular challenges and parenting issues.

Additionally, the Child and Family Specialist serves as a resource on available services for children, with and without additional support needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of family dynamics, needs, and challenges.
• Develop tailored intervention plans in collaboration with families to address identified issues.
• Provide practical support, counselling, and advocacy to families to enhance their well-being and resilience.
• Coordinate with other service providers and agencies to ensure holistic support for families.
• Monitor and evaluate the progress of intervention plans, making adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and progress reports.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Early Education, Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of developmental milestone.
• Demonstrated experience in working with families, preferably in an early intervention context.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
• Strong assessment and case management skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective intervention plans.
• Knowledge of community resources and support services available for families of a child with additional needs.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate, non-judgmental approach with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of families.
• Full Australian Driver's License 

Desirable:

• Experience working in an Early Education setting.
