About the role
The role of the Child Care Educator, in the Early Learning Centre (ELC) is to assist the Director/Teacher and the team in providing high quality care and education for children in a community preschool setting for 3–5-year-olds.

Duties

• Assisting the room teacher with the implementation of a well-planned and evaluated program for 3–5-year-olds, using the Early Years Framework.
• Developing a positive and supportive relationship with children.
• Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
• Working with the team to ensure a compliant centre as per the Education and Care Services Regulations
• Establishing and maintaining good relationships with families.

Requirements

• Completion of Identify & report children and young people at risk (CHCPRT025)
• Current and valid Working with Children Check clearance.

Highly Desirable

• Certificate III qualifications (or working towards)
• Current First Aid, CPR Certificate, asthma and Anaphylaxis
