ARE YOU OUR NEW CHILD DEVELOPMENT WORKER?

Younity is looking for a passionate and creative person to join our GROW (Growing Resilient in our World) team.

We strongly encourage First Nations people to apply for this position.

THE ROLE...

The GROW Program provides services, programs, support and events for children aged 0 to 12 and parents, carers and families across Moreton Bay.

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our dedicated team. As the Child Development Worker, you will deliver inclusive programs for children and their parents/carers, utilising your specialised knowledge in early childhood development. Operating within a community-led and co-design framework, you will collaborate seamlessly with local organisations, primary schools, and Early Learning Centres to foster an environment that provides support and value to children and their families, creating opportunities for shared growth.

Recognising parents as their child's first educators, you will implement programs designed to actively engage and empower parents in their child's developmental journey. Additionally, you will work with the community to support the smooth transition of children aged 0-5 as they move from early childhood to prep and primary school.

  • Is great at planning and managing but REALLY loves getting into delivering programs and activities
  • Loves playing with children and building relationships with parents and community.
  • Genuinely understands that the questions and answers for children, parents and families sit in our communities.
  • Thrives on creative, out-of-the-box thinking and can share this passion with their team

You will have

  • Qualifications in childcare, early childhood education, community or child and family services, or appropriate experience in a similar role.
  • Experience delivering community programs such as playgroups or parenting programs.
  • Experience working with children aged 0 - 5 and their parents.
  • QLD Working with Children Check
  • Current clean QLD Drivers Licence,
