About the roleGroundProbe is extremely proud of our status of an innovative and strategic technology leader. We are constantly innovating, designing and producing new sensors and software products which are changing the face of the mining and civil sectors as we know it.
As such, our head office in Windsor, Brisbane, is currently looking for a Product Manager to lead the design and delivery of innovative technologies for our customers and manage the implementation of GroundProbe’s product life cycle strategies to build the market share and profitability of existing and new products and services.
The Product Manager plays a key role in advocating market-leading and customer-focused solutions through all relevant business functions, supporting, influencing and driving project and product development priorities to ensure quality product delivery of software, hardware and systems features, and functionality that meet or exceeds customer expectations, including leading and collaborating on commercial demonstrations, for both internal and external customers.
What you will be doing- Drive a customer and data-first mindset collaborating in the Product Management Framework with focus on a continuous improvement of the product management team systems and processes;
- Provide cross-functional direction in delivering new components and products from concept to reality;
- Own and drive the product roadmaps across a multiple customer journey;
- Gather, understand and prioritize market and international customer-driven product needs from customer-focused activities and internal sources, balancing commercial returns with technical/implementation risks;
- Lead the voice of customer program and ensure the voice of the customer is heard and included in key decisions and trade-offs, with key inputs to the Technology plan;
- Negotiate with and influence stakeholders and cross functional teams to deliver products to market;
- Guide, support and encourage the growth in the adoption of commercially released products/features by our users and customers through our Product Managers and software technical leads;
- Create a connected team of stakeholders and become a role model of our value of "Together we Succeed";
- Facilitate a collaborative flow of information between R&D/Software/Engineering and Marketing/Commercial areas, ensuring there is awareness of all new features and improvements to products in advance to their commercial release;
- Collaborate with our Marketing and Documentation teams to promote and share relevant product updates globally.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent;
- A drive for action and getting things done;
- A collaborative style;
- Certification in Program or Project Management is desirable;
- Bilingual in English and Portuguese/Spanish (spoken and written) is desirable;
- Technical field experience in a hands-on role is desirable;
- 3+ years’ experience in working with technology in operations, production, or business systems, preferably in product management of complex products spanning mechanical, electrical, electronics, robotics and software disciplines;
- Experience working in a multicultural commercial environment, with an international company is preferred.
