As the Child Health Nurse, you will be promoting and maintaining the health of children, providing support and education to families, and advocating for the wellbeing of young individuals. Your duties will include:
- Tracking physical, emotional, and cognitive development milestones to ensure children are growing and progressing as expected
- Performing routine health screenings and assessing children for any health concerns or developmental delays
- Administering immunisations to children
- The provision of guidance and education to parents and caregivers on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, safety, and child development
- Working closely with children and families who have chronic health conditions, provide education, support, and help manage the condition to promote optimal health and well-being
The Kimberley is characterized by its diverse landscapes, which include rocky plateaus, deep gorges, pristine beaches, lush rainforests, and savannah grasslands. The rugged terrain is carved by ancient rivers and is home to several dramatic geological formations.

To be eligible for this position, you must have the following:
- Current registration with AHPRA with no restrictions
- Postgraduate qualifications in Child Health Nursing
- Have a good understanding of rural and remote health issues
- Remote Area Nursing experience preferred
- A current driver's license with the capacity to drive a manual 4WD vehicle required
