Help shape the future of children in our care
This exciting new position, based out of our Kedron central office, will see you:
- Lead the development, implementation and review of C&K's safeguarding framework, systems and policies.
- Develop and implement an organisational strategy for end-to-end safeguarding processes.
- Assess risk to identify areas of potential vulnerability, develop strategies to mitigate risk and ensure corrective actions are coordinated across the organisation.
- Mentor and guide professionals in key role in protection strategies and measure to build C&K's workforce capability and child safety culture.
As a part of C&Ks Senior Leadership Team, you will join a multi-disciplinary team of leaders across operations, Wellbeing, Research and Compliance to create an environment where every child in our care can thrive in a safer environment. You will also have the opportunity to report to and be mentored by expert Early Childhood leaders such as Dr Sandra Cheeseman and Kim Davis.
Your Expertise
You will bring extensive knowledge of Child Protection related legislation, regulations and best practice alongside a deep understanding of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Framework. Most importantly, you will bring proven experience putting that knowledge into practice within organisations on-the-ground, ideally at scale.
To thrive and succeed in this role, the below will also be key:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in early childhood education, social work, psychology, welfare or equivalent.
- A higher qualification such as a relevant Master’s degree or Doctorate will be highly regarded, though not essential.
- Knowledge of the Child Safe Organisation principles and Child Protection system in Qld.
- Experience in completing investigations or similar investigatory experience and knowledge
- Expert knowledge of the National Quality Framework.
- Must have an active Blue Card and Police Check or the willingness to get one.
