About the Roles

Children, Youth and Families (CYF) provides integrated programs that support all children, young people, and their families in Tasmania. We are recruiting for roles in two units within CYF, Child Safety Service (CSS) and Out of Home Care (OOHC).

Child Safety Officers in CSS

We work with young people, their families, community, and non-government support agencies to strengthen the capacity of families and individuals to provide adequate support, care, and safety to children. We work in a statutory environment, delivering services to children and families who are NDIS, Federal Care and Intensive Family Support clients. Experience working in these sectors would be an advantage and a current driver’s licence is essential. Work in all areas of CSS: Intake, Response, Case Management and Out of Home Care.

Out of Home Care Caseworker in OOHC

We work in regional teams, alongside Child Safety Officers to provide support, advice and safety to children, young people and their carers who are in the out of home care system.

Experience in foster care, out of home care and residential care would be an advantage and a current driver’s licence is essential.
