Our Centre: Bright Stars Montessori Preschool is a long daycare facility that offers a unique and child-first approach to child development. The strong educational component of our curriculum allows us to bridge the gap between traditional childcare and kindergarten. We believe our preschool creates an environment where every child’s needs are catered for holistically.
Tasks & responsibilities:
• Overseeing the daily operations of the service, including staff management, scheduling, and program implementation.
• Ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children.
• Implementing policies and procedures to support the services goals and objectives.
• Managing the timesheets and operating the floor efficiently while maintaining ratio
• Collaborating with parents, staff, and external stakeholders to address concerns and maintain positive relationships.
• Training and supporting childcare educators to ensure a high-quality standard of care across the service.
• Planning and organising educational programs and activities that are aligned with the EYLF & NQS.
• Monitoring and evaluating the performance of the service and implementing improvements as needed.
• Communicating effectively with families about their child's progress, behaviour, and any concerns.
• Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices in early childhood education to continuously improve the service's overall operation.
• Lead and mentor educators to achieve excellence and maintain strong professional relationships with one another.
• Lead and develop the team to deliver a high-quality cycle of planning, curriculum and outcomes for each child in your room.
• Ensure that meaningful documentation of children's learning, is visible and accessible to families and meets regulatory requirements.
• Create an engaging and stimulating environment both indoors and outdoors.
• Maintain positive working relationships with all team members
• Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times
Requirements:
• An AQF Diploma in Early Childhood Education
• At least 3 years’ experience in similar capacity
• Ability to effectively communicate in English
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to use childcare software competently
• Attention to details
Salary: 70,500 p.a. plus Superannuation
