The Service

KU Lance is small, historic 30 place community based service. located on a quiet street in Millers Point at the foot of the harbour bridge, with stunning views overlooking Sydney Harbour from the outdoor space. Easily accessible by Public Transport, this is one of the most unique early education services in the city.

We have an ongoing commitment to sustainability and nature education. Regular excursions to Barangaroo Headland Park allow children to explore natural environments and ‘wild places’. The educators utilise natural items in teaching and learning environments, including maintaining a kitchen garden and a pet rabbit, teaching children in caring for other living things with whom we share the planet.

The team is passionate, fun, dynamic and diverse and we have a Certificate III opportunity available to join on a permanent full time basis accruing a monthly RDO.

Of course, you will need:

  • Australian working rights
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check
  • An ACECQA recognised Certificate III
  • Completed training in Child Protection
  • Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
