Childcare Educator

About the role

• To provide quality care and education to the children in the Childcare Centre on any particular shift under the direction of the Director, Curriculum Advisor or Assistant Director.

About you

Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Demonstrated ability to relate well to families.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with other staff and to facilitate the development of teamwork.
• Demonstrated ability in the preparation and maintenance of appropriate records/reports.

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of relevant Government legislation, Regulations and Industrial Awards.
• A thorough understanding of the principles associated with the development needs and programming for children between the ages of zero (0) and six (6).
• A thorough understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework.
