Your responsibilities as a Casual Youth Worker, will include:
- Providing support to young individuals exhibiting challenging behaviors.
- Caring for youth who have survived complex childhood trauma.
- Implementing and following therapeutic practices to provide care and assistance tailored to everyone.
- Facilitating positive outcomes, with a focus on education and daily living skills.
- Demonstrating positive role modeling.
- Offering emotional support and building trust and rapport with our clients and young people in residential care.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all.
- Maintaining comprehensive case notes diligently.
Your “must-have” requirements:
- A minimum of 12 months of demonstrated experience in residential youth care.
- Certificate 3 or 4, Diploma in Youth Work, Community services
- Experience in Therapeutic informed care preferred or willing to obtain.
- Valid Police Check (dated within the last year).
- Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- Current First Aid/CPR certification.
- Valid and full Driver’s License.
- Current comprehensive car insurance
- NDIS workers’ screening check
