Job Summary:
We’re on the hunt for a dynamic Children’s Ministry Coordinator who’s ready to make our children’s ministry as lively and welcoming as a party that never ends! You’ll lead the charge in crafting unforgettable Sunday mornings and special events for kids aged 6 months to 12 years. From story time to snack time and everything in between, you’ll help introduce our little ones to the big, beautiful world of faith.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and energize volunteer teams to create a loving and safe environment for our children.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain rigorous adherence to Child Protection and WHS standards, ensuring all activities are safe and secure.
- Curriculum Implementation: Roll out our engaging kids' curriculum with creativity and zest, keeping our young ones eager for more.
- Program Management: Oversee the logistics of Sunday morning programs, including setup and breakdown, ensuring each child feels special and cherished.
- Family Engagement: Build meaningful connections with children and their families, offering support and pastoral care as needed.
- Event Coordination: Plan and execute kid-friendly events throughout the year, including holiday programs and special community-focused events.
- Budget Oversight: Manage finances responsibly, keeping our children’s ministry vibrant and resourceful.
- Spiritual Guidance: Lead children in discovering the joys of faith through stories, activities, and communal prayer.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Spiritual Maturity: A robust personal faith and understanding of the Bible, with a history of actively living out your beliefs.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in children's ministry or a related field.
- Leadership: Proven ability to inspire and manage teams with positivity and direction.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills to connect with children, parents, and volunteers.
- Organizational Acumen: Strong administrative skills with a knack for meticulous planning and efficient operation.
- Certifications: Up-to-date training and proficiency in Child Protection compliance.
