About this role
This is a newly created lead role within the Design and Brand Unit of the Strategic Communications and Engagement Branch, NSW Ministry of Health. The role is responsible for creative services and brand management across NSW Health.
The Design and Publishing Coordinator coordinates and allocates Design and Publishing work across the in-house design team and external suppliers, including coordinating with NSW Government departments and the government brand and design policies and regulations on behalf of the NSW Ministry of Health.
Crown Clerk 7/8, salary from$106,025 - $117,363 plus Super and annual leave loading.

What you'll be doing
In this role, you will coordinate Design and brand requirements across NSW Health.
Key to your success, you’ll be able to build and maintain collaborative relationships with key staff in public health organisations and in other relevant NSW government agencies. Responsibilities include to:
- Allocate and coordinate the workflow of all print and digital publishing projects from receipt to delivery
- Manage copyright requests on behalf of NSW Health
- Coordinate brand exemption and transition procedures, including liaising with other government departments
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external providers to prepare quotes for publishing projects
- Manage register of collateral for various NSW Health events
- Research and provide advice on distribution strategies for publishing projects
- Commission projects in collaboration with authorised external contractors and suppliers
- Provide graphic Design and desktop publishing support to in-house graphic designers (proof- reading, reviewing and editing proofs)
- Research, provide advice and oversee the delivery on the most appropriate and cost effective formats (print and/or digital) for events and Publishing projects.
- Administer print and Publishing estimates and invoicing
- Identify opportunities to apply new processes, technology and products that maximise engagement with target audiences.
- Work closely with the Design team to mitigate and resolve delays, errors or budget issues
