This is a great opportunity to play a key role in promoting quality improvement in early childhood education and care (ECEC) services working as a Children's Services Officer in the Quality Assessment and Regulation Division (QARD).
Quality Assessment and Regulation Division
The Department of Education is the Victorian Regulatory Authority for early childhood education and care (ECEC) services under delegation from the Secretary. QARD, in the Department, regulates and quality assesses ECEC services. QARD drives the delivery of high-quality ECEC services and ensures the safety, health and wellbeing of Victorian children attending those ECEC services.
About the Role
Children's Services Officer

As a Children's Services Officer you will support and assist authorised officers in undertaking compliance, investigation and monitoring visits at Victorian ECEC services. You will also be required to assist in the administration of the assessment and rating cycle, including maintaining records, the distribution of communication materials and support the management of systems and processes for the collection and reporting of information relating to service quality and regulatory issues.
To be successful in this role, you will be a collaborative and motivated team member, who upholds organisation values in all interactions and actively contributes to a constructive culture.
This is a full time, ongoing position, at the VPS3 level working across the South Western Victoria Region. The role involves travel across the Western Metropolitan Area, including metropolitan suburbs and regional areas such as Werribee, Newport, Geelong, Ballarat and the wider Barwon and Grampians regions. The role will at times, include overnight stays.
